The Dimus (Don Imus) has done it again (or has he?). Don Imus, who is known for his racially charged "Nappy Head Hoes" comment regarding the Rutgers women's basketball team has made yet another comment that can or cannot be deemed as racist. On Monday's show Imus and sports announcer Warner Wolf were discussing Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones request Saturday that people stop calling him Pacman. Wolf explained on-air that Pacman has had several run-ins with the law since being drafted by Tennessee in 2005 and served a season long suspension for ties to a shooting after a melee at a Las Vegas strip club. The height of the conversation that sent sparks went like this:
Imus: What color is he?
Wolf: African-American
Imus: Well there you go. Now we know.
Imus has tried to redeem himself by saying that he MEANT that because Pacman is black he is always picked on. You know our boy Sharpton who moved to get Imus removed from his gig at Fox is all over this!
Should Imus be expected to apologize or recant his statement, or is he full of chit? Is this shameless self promotion on Sharpton's part that you wish he would get over? Or is Imus just exercising his right to free speech being that he is a radio personality?

I think imus should have been banned from the air when he said those racist remarks to the U of R womans bball team.Imus is a pig and should be fired,i never did like that asshole and never did listen to him.He is an old biget asshole and should be off the air.
But wait a minute brad, Dimus is a radio personality so part of his job is to utilize his freedom of speech. Now I don't agree with him calling the young ladies from Rutgers "Nappy Headed Hoes", but he is a radio personality. Isn't it the same thing when people use the term "Ghetto", in referencing someone who may look and act like someone from a supposedly urban run down community? I've heard everyone from radio personalities to little kids use this word.

Controversy brings ratings, its all about money and you all should know that by now. This is a country that upholds both sides of the coin. Like Kartman said about war on South Park, if we were always against the war, then other countires would thin kwe are a bunch of pussies and invade, if we don't act like we oppose war then the world would be mad at all United States and not just the president. Suspending Don Imus lets everyone know that "WE AS A PEOPLE cannot tolerate racism" but hiring him back negates the entire suspension. If Imus truly meant what he said he meant, then he should've been clear at the time when he made the statement. Please he has all kinds of PR people around him, you don't think he KNEW what he was saying or how to say it. We are aware of what we are saying, and for someone who has been scrutinized in the past fo rthe same issues, you can best believe he KNEW BETTER but chose to say what he meant!!

What I don't understand is what did Nappy Head Hoes have to do with Basketball in the first place? How can a conversation about a women's basketball team go down that road? Don Imus is still entitiled to freedom of speech even if his comments does offend others. YES, it's clear that Don Imus is a racist but he's also an american citizen with rights just like you and I.
