R. Kelly's Acquittal
Finally, R&B Crooner / Pedophile R. Kelly has been acquitted of child porn charges that were made against him six years ago. Although he has a history of being attracted to young girls (Aaliyah), it was difficult for the jury to find just cause to put his sick ass behind bars. We all know that Kels indeed played the leading role in that ghetto production. Luckily for him he had enough money to get out of this sticky situation. We are not in a third world country. Why should we allow men to take advantage of young girls with no repercussions? How dare we as Americans sit back and cheer when the verdict was read opposed trying to burn his ass at the stake. People wake the fuck up. Men, Women, America wake up. So what the little girl was hot in the ass and misguided. R. Kelly is a grown perverted man. Would you want him to be commended for fucking your 12 year old daughter?

This is just another case where a high profile celebrity figure was able to use his power and wealth to escape and/or cover up his wrong. It happens so much with people in positions such as his. You have the money to hire a great legal team, pay off your victim and still continue on with life as if nothing ever happened. But this poses another question that has been a part of the American Judicial systems...Should lawyers defend clients they know are guilty?

I am also outraged on R. Kelly's acquittal however I would have to cough that up as Judicial Karma. But saying that I mean this. There are millions of blacks who are jailed on a daily basis for crimes they did not commit, crimes they were affiliated with or knew about but not actually commited, hell damn near for standing next to someone who said the word "crime" in a sentence. Karmically speaking the Judicial System must be pay for that. Although I am most annoyed that it seems that people can get away with anything in this country as long as they have money, I do see a BIGGER picture. Had the person who owned the tape had DECENT intentions when her alleged niece was "touched" she would've taken that tape to the POLICE instead of the newspapers. Money ruled her decision not love for family, therefore the Karma left her high and dry and R Kelly freed. She knew the possibilities when she introduced her niece to him. I wouldn't introduce my daughter to anyone who had a reputation for liking young girls!! So I'm gonna KNOW that he likes them young and what hope my daughter doesn't tickle his fancy?! It makes no sense to try to place rational thinking into an irrational person. I heard a quote from her saying something to the affect of "I thought if I was just always around then she'd be fine." Well then you should have been ALWAYS around!! It's just not a gamble I'd be willing to take on my daughter...
Judicial Karma..big deal. The case and point here is that a predator has walked away unscathed. This is bigger than Sparkle's shenanigans. All of they ass should go to jail for perjury. How dare the pregnant girl testify to a threesome to get her man off the hook. Have these folks any decency?
We understood the case and point when the entire sham went public like 6 years ago. We understood the case in point when Michael Jackson walked away free as well. Yes it is bigger than Sparkle, but in a spiritual sense you won't get rewarded for trying to pimp your niece, nor will you get restitution for going to a newspaper with your story as opposed to the police. R Kelly didn't have the child pron, Sparkle did, he wasn't being charged with Statutory, he was being charged with child porn and if the MAIN characters have denied any part in the matter, what witnesses do you have. Again as I reiterate, had you done things the right way (Sparkle an nem) and wasn't trying to look for the quick buck then maybe you'd have witnesses to go to court to support your claim, money talks, if you don't like it, move, sad but true...
I agree with you BluMagik it is what it is. What the hell are they taking a tape to the newspaper for? If you really wanted him arrested for his crime/actions, you would have gone straight to the police! I think all of their asses should be in jail--Kels, the lil girl, her parents, the auntie, the friends and that nasty trifling hoe who did the threesome.

I don't think its wrong or right to include multiple partners in your bedroom. I mean whatever floats your boat should be fine for whomever else who has nothing to do wth your sex life, however I do believe that allowing another to enter the bedroom with you and that special someone is just asking for a problem. I am very open minded but I also know how to avoid a problem. I don't have to bite the donut to know its sweet. But KNOW this, if you allow a man to sleep with you and another, sooner or later he won't feel like he needs your permission, any man that requires multiple partners to get off will do that whether you agree and are invloved or not....

I hear you though, the man is mad talented musically, too bad all of his lyrics were inspired while he was in a hospital nursery.....
We all know R is a very talented musician who has made bad choices and decisions in his life. When its all said and done, he is a FREE man. I don't know who all may be parents, but we need to take responsibility for our children and their actions. WE, the parents, community, "the village" have got to get INVOLVED and teach these young girls how to be treated and respected like the women GOD created us to be. It could have been anyone of our relatives, hell, as far as we know, her parents could be in on it as well--trying to make a quick buck--money will continue to be the root of all evil! I pray that all of them receive some counseling and spritual healing.
What do we really expect with a jury of three women and ten men? Who picked this jury and where was the prosecutor during jury selection??
