Oh goodness BP sounds like some bad experiences at the wrong churches. Pray and ask Him to find a home for you cause it's one thing to have a one on one relationship with God, but it's another to reach out to your fellow believers and commune with them. I'll tell you a quick short story: When I was a little girl, my aunt used to take me to church religiously every Sunday. I started not to like it because I witnessed the Pastor cheating on his wife, his daughter selling drugs and gang-banging inside the church and it turned me away! I said to myself if this is what it means to be a Christian then I don't want to be one! and I banned going to church for years. Until I got older and found a non-denominal church home that was totally opposite of the my childhood church. It was accepting of all, not passing judegment and made me feel good every time I went!
