Walk it Out

While standing in Harold's ( Chicago chicken shack chain ) on Sunday waiting on my 6 wings with mild sauce a disgruntled male employee was swearing and fussing because he'd worked his entire shift for the day and was fired. He kept cussin' and fussin' about how management should've said something in the morning and he could've been with his family to BBQ for Labor Day. The ruckus was holding up the chicken service so a few hungry customers starting making a commotion as well. Before I knew it the brotha had jumped back over the counter and started throwing fries, cole slaw and chicken plates at all the customer and smearing mild sauce on the register. I was ducking fries and dying laughing because the "Fry Guy" was setting it off in Harold's and I felt his pain. These supervisors get a little too high and mighty at times and you have to bring them back down. Have you ever made a scene for being fired? If you were fired today would you leave amicably or tear the roof off this bitch?

well you KNOW me. If I get fired an I feel that it is unjust, (please keep in mind that there are times where you KNOW you shouldn't have done a certain thing and you feel that maybe you should have been offered a better outcome due to your service. That is NOT THE CASE)

I won't go so far as to say that I will do a Left Eye but if there was anything I ever wanted to say to superiors on my way out I will definitely be verbal...

It depends on the nature of the dismissal, like bp08 if its warranted, then fine, but if its not, then they will know exactly how I feel. I will channel every emotion that people there now are feeling and let the good times roll....

I advise anyone who gets fired on bogus terms especially like the dude in this topic who has slaved all day for Uncle Tom who knew damn well that he was going to fire him to send the deck up.

As far as a reference goes don't put them on your resume. It's ways around the system.

well for me, I would rip the runway with the administration. I wouldn't be llud, but I would get my point across.

Not only are there ways around the system arm charm, but there are other people you can use for a reference. People use me all the time for fear of being shafted by upper management...

In the situation of you working me all day then firing me toward the end of the day, I would snap all up and through!!

Greetings. We must fight the power and not understand but overstand the mental slavery and self hatred that the white man has inflicted upon our people since slavery. You should not fire that brother or that sister in a way that is disrespectful or dehumanizing to ones character. Love and respect yourself so you can love and respect your neighbor.

AGREED SHABAZZZ, and overstand by any means necessary!!!!

I can't say what I would and wouldn't do because you never know what kinda day you will have had. But I do know this, you know that ONE office jerk you want to slap or curse out but you don't because you don't want to lose your job? Well guess what, there is no fear of losing a job, when you've been fired...

I say blow they ass up!!

I used to work at a collections agency and this man got fired but we always expected that he was a little different. He ran out of our manager's office yelling real loud saying LU LU LU Lu LU Lu Lu and wouldn't stop. He did it all while he was clearing his desk. Funniest shit ever.

Muhahahahahahahhaha!!!!!!

Now that's some funny shit!

I guess it all depends on long you've been on the job too. If you been there more than three years, then you might want to leave on good terms cause what will you say while applying to your new job on what you've been doing for the past 5-6 years? If it's 2 years or less, I say do what you feel!

I wouldn't worry about that because Burger King is not going to call Wendy's.

not only that but again there are other people you can use as references. "WE" always make friends everywhere "we" go...
