Grinds My Gears in dedication to Peter Griffin

"You know what really Grinds My Gears, when you are receiving oral sex, and the person has finally gotten into the correct groove conducive for ejaculation and they stop and look up at you, smiling, with that "you like that" look on their face. I mean c'mon it took you decades to find the ULTIMATE combination of grab, fondle, and slurp and now you want to stop and look at me. What the hell are you looking at? KEEP GOING ALREADY!! And people is what Grinds My Gears!"

Tell me what are some of the things about relationships and/or sex that pisses you off. When they kiss you do their teeth scratch your top lip? Does it bother you when someone kisses you in the mouth directly after being oral? What America, what really grinds your gears?!! Please click the title for a better understanding of what Grinding Gears should entail.

Head over Heels...

5'5, light eyes "thick n da Thighs", Tall and dark with a smile that
can brighten any bad day! What makes a person attractive? Men do you
care about women "faking it up" to achieve beauty with weaves, fake
breasts contacts, and/or butt/lip injections? Do women really go
through these great lengths to achieve beauty to attract attention
from men, or is to impress or flaunt for other women? What is beauty
really about?

Astrologically Speaking

Earth elementals, (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) steadfast, enduring, nurturing, they are the planners of the world. In the zodiac family they are the mothers and fathers. In the Garden of Good and Evil, these elementals can be found, as well grounded individuals, living life walking down one path with little variation. Most often their way is the only way known to them as they leave little room for the margin of error. Down side, this mode of thinking will continue to keep you in the same place in life. If that place is a GOOD place, then you leave no room for the GREAT place and if that place is a BAD place, you will continue to dwell there.

Air elementals, (Aquarius, Libra, Gemini) ever changing, multi-faceted, the social butterflies of the zodiac. Air signs are the embodiment of their element. They are everywhere at all times yet yet nowhere at the same time. They are the cousins in the zodiac family. Always down for having fun, sharing bright ideas and always coming up with new and inventive ways to bring joy and happiness to all. These interesting sources of light, are always around to liven up the place, and as their mind is always working on the new and improved, they sometimes run into a hard time focusing on the present. Learn to focus on what is, to better your understanding of what is to come and the term "Jack of all trades, master of nothing" will cease to exist.

Fire Elementals (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) "Ahh a star is born" the big brothers and big sisters in the zodiac family, this group of performers will always inspire greatness. They live life to the fullest and never accept defeat even when the odds are stacked a mile high against them. Their proud persona will move them through turmoil unscathed and unharmed for the most part, but their lack of dedication will be their downfall. Like fire, a spark can ignite and great explosion, however if not properly harnaced the inferno will fizzle and eventually die. Fire signs are the innovators, with great ideas and very good "how to" guides. If they can learn to channel and stay grounded, their impatience will be put on the back burner and they will soar to all new heights!!

Water Elementals (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) are the Plato and Socrates of the bunch. They embody all human emotion the good and the bad! They are the aunts and uncles of the zodiac, most often very protective and supportive also dismissive and emotional. Water signs have the unique ability to feel exactly what you are going through and act accordingly. Much like the way your aunt or uncles can say the exact same thing your mom says but in a less dictatorship kind of way. They are fiercely loyal and are always putting other peoples needs before there own. Unfortunately not everyone is derserving of this characteristic. Most often water signs get taken for a ride. Their nature forces them to trust emotionally, and msot often people see that as weakness, however, there is no sign in the zodiac that can shut off like water and you never miss your water till your well runs dry. Learn to logically use your emotions and not be a prisoner by them and you intuition and empathy will seem less likely to cause paranoia!

Learn how to turn your characteristic traits into marketable and positive attributes. The good and the bad!! Click the title for a humorous tale of the zodiacs!!

Loose Lucy

One of the blogs faithful readers is having a bit of a dilemma. She has a good man at home....loving, respectful, nice looking and has a good job. Well according to her, he doesn't have enough swagger so she creeped with a buddy of his who does. She is pregnant but it's been bothering her lately because the odds of it being her side dip's kid are very high. She doesn't know if she should tell her man (who is anxiously awaiting the arrival of his 1st child) soon to soften the blow in the future or ride it out and see who the kid looks like as he gets older?

The young lady understands that she is willingly walking the green mile and welcomes good advice as well as harsh opinions. She feels nothing can be worse than her fiance's wrath...if she tells him.

Sex Sells

A sexy video or pictures in the hands of the wrong person may disgrace your family while jump starting or reinventing your career. The beautiful Model/actress Garcelle Beauvias (Fancy from the Jamie Foxx show) bared all for play boy (click "sex sells" to see xxx rated spread). The stunning Stacey Dash (clueless star) preceded Fancy in the same take it off deal one year ago. We are all familiar with Halle Berry's Oscar winning sex performance in Monster's Ball along with the Paris Hilton tape and the Kardashian - Ray J exposed sex~capades in which he still hasn't found his niche but Kim has earned a reality show.

Is this what one (women especially) is required to do to make it big in Hollywood as well as in our regular jobs? Have these women sold their soul to climb the ladder and if so was it worth it? If given the chance would YOU travel the same road for advancement? Fella's would you be proud of your girl if she did such a thing for a job?

"Black is Beautiful, but Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder"

Since yesterdays topic sparked such an explosion of opinions we decided to take the topic off-line. A survey was done among males to see why exactly they tend to gravitate toward other races. Here is what one male had to say.

"Why is it such a big deal? When Hispanics or Asians date non Hispanic or Asian men nobody complains. There are enough men to go around. Black women need to get over this whole race issue. In other countries (London, Jamaica, Brazil) black women date whoever they want. Why do black American women feel so bound to black men especially if they are not bound to you? I have plenty of black friends who will date anyone that's compatible with them and it is not self hatred. They love themselves and they love to EMBRACE other cultures and races. Why can't you? Is it hard to believe that a black man is compatible with a non black woman?"

Also a poll was taken and the top 10 reasons "some" MEN gave as to why they date outside their race are as follows:

1. Black women make black men feel under appreciated, unwarranted and irresponsible and regressive.
2. Black women are too aggressive and no longer patient in waiting on the pursuit of a man.
3. Black women are strong headed, too independent which presents great challenges in relationships.
4. Black women are masculine in that they are controlling and like to run the relationship.
5. Black women expect too much. They are gold diggers who will not look twice at a blue collar black man.
6. Black women are hot headed and have bad attitudes.
7. Black women stop caring about their appearance after a certain age.
8. Black women are not as sexually open as other races, especially in regards to oral sex.
9. Black women's tolerance is far too low; they are no longer empathetic to the black man's struggle in white America.
10. Black women do not cater to their men.

Black is Beautiful

A friend of one of our contributers wants to hear your view on the following:

I am an Indian woman seriously involved with a black man. This is not a first for me dating outside my race but I find that I am more attracted to Black men. Being of "color" myself I see no problem with dating him but everyone else around me seems to especially black women. Along with the cutting eyes and sly remarks I feel as if we are back in the 60's when I'm out with my man. He is very handsome so that could have added fuel to the "fury". Now, I have black girlfriends and recently we had a conversation about dating outside the race. I heard some views that black women feel they are loosing their good black men to women of other races. But I say what does that have to do with who you love? Why be angry at the "other" woman of another race. Is race really the issue or am I being too cynical?

Sister's do we really care about black men dating women of other races? Do you think these women are full of shit and want us to envy the fact that they are with a brother? Brothers, are women of other races offering something that sistahs are not?

The Politics of Fear

This week's New Yorker features the Obamas as Muslim militants in the White House who look as if they're ready to kick off a Black Panther backed Jihad against white America. The NY'ers editor claims that the caricature is nothing more than a satirical use of the misconceptions already in place to sabotage the Obama campaign. The 18- page, well written, accompanying article actually praises Obama by calling him a skilled and calculating politician who rose by mastering the game of politics. Since satire is the use of sarcasm & ridicule to denounce while simultaneously playing up something fictitious, why is everyone making a big deal about the cover considering the write up is phenomenal?

True Love v.s The Friend & Family Plan

Finding love in this day and age seems nearly impossible. More and more the average person seems to gamble with love accepting the win, place, or show prizes, because of the shortage of "good people" out here. Lets face it, the pool of eligible candidates for marriage is a dying species. Either she has too many issues and/or too much baggage (many kids and/or baby daddy's) or he doesn't have enough credit points on his score and all 6 of his baby mommas are crazy. It's becoming harder and harder to weed through the bull*&^% to find, in the immortal words of Chante Moore, your "Special Perfect One." So when you think God has blessed you with the one you feel was created for you by Him, what do you do when your friends and/or family object to his or her arrival? Could it be their own innate jealousy, the ferocious need to playa hate, or do they see something in your mate that love has blinded you to? How do we determine how to keep our choice in love in perfect harmony with the Fav 5?

"Off with his Nuts!"

"Hopping John" Jesse has not learned from the "hymietown" days has he? He has mouthed off again! (Click title post to view video). What is it with him and his negative feelings towards Senator-Soon-to-be-the-first-Black-President-of-the-U.S. Obama? Is hate so embedded within him that caused him to make such a crude statement as this? Or is it deeply rooted in blacks in general that we can't stand to see one of "us" make it past us?

And just when we thought Imus was done here comes JJ! If it's not one of "them" is one of our own!

Protect Your Self!

Since when did AIDS become a weapon to use against innocent people? This video (click on title post) shows a man who confesses to having HIV/AIDS and supposedly having had unprotected sex with multiple women on purpose! Women he claim were dissolute - young women, women who were first timers to sex, women who he claim were only out for his "riches" or what they thought he had.

AIDS is real and as of yet, there is no cure I repeat NO CURE! There may not be validity to this guy, but just the thought that there are people out there who do this, is hard to swallow.Currently, there are a reported 448,871 people living with AIDS in the U.S. (According to the Center for Disease Control as of 2006). There have been 565,927 losses due to AIDS in the U.S. (as of 2006). There are 36,817 people currently living with the HIV virus in the U.S. While these numbers may not seem astonishing to a current U.S. population of 304,472,518, these are only estimated numbers and counts - this doesn't include the many people who never get tested, because of lack of cognizance, or inadequate or lack of proper health care.

We have touched on topics revolving around relationships, sex, trends of sex and the like, but this is a topic that MUST be talked about!

Sensual Seduction

"U don't know nan bitch /who quick to deep throat a dick/ and let another bitch straight lick the clit/ Naw, U don't know nan!" Were the lyrics that blessed our ears in the late nineties and kicked off the proud girl on girl epidemic that is highly favored in today's society. Why has this type of girl on girl behavior (threesomes) become the norm or standard for heterosexual relationships? R. Kelly's mini saga "Trapped in the Closet" shed much needed light on the secret lifestyle of family oriented men whose guilty pleasures are fulfilled by other men aka.....The Down Low brother. Is gay the new straight? Back in the days of old it was taboo, now the attitude is make it do what it do....What has changed?

"What do you want from me!?"

Respect, honesty, intelligence, admiration, physical attraction...yada, yada yada!
Ok, besides the list of the perfect "do right" man and the physical attributes of a perfect looking woman, what is it that women/men really want from each other? Are women wanting too much, or are men not willing to give enough?? Can a man/woman be happy with just one partner or does it take many to fit the bill?

Friends With Benefits

Friends w/Benefits? What's the big deal? At some point almost all of us have had a friend with no emotional attachments, just the enjoyment of their company, in every sense of the word. But is it healthy? What happens when one gets his/her feelings involved? How do we put a limit on complete enjoyment and utter euphoria?

"Meet me at the water cooler!!!!"

With all the stress of the world today, inflation, low health insurance coverage, high unemployment rate, high gas prices, how do you deal with the co-worker or boss from hell. Have you ever had a co-worker or boss that has purposely made it their life's mission to make you uncomfortable? Well maybe it's not their mission, however it does seem to consume alot of their time. Do you quit your job? Meet them in the parking lot after hours? From the outside looking in its easy to say ignore them and keep pushing forward but when you are smack dab in the middle of the situation its becomes harder and harder to keep your cool. Tell us of your experiences with office politics and what you did to overcome. Remember your opinions matter as one day it might be your turn to make the decision of whether to walk away, or walk out!
